Developers in BG?

Guys from Kabam, how can you comment on this? If this is really a developer, then what is he doing in the Fields? I mean, why should regular players compete with accounts that potentially have all the characters and unlimited resources? In all the games I've played before, the developer accounts were technical and never went to war against the players. If you write that he developed an account like an ordinary player, then, guys, what guarantees are there that this is so? Or that one day you just won't upload to it the characters that it lacks?

You don't have any guarantees. It's just common sense. Most people enjoy seeing the title and knowing how the devs fit into the community. It's better for everyone to have devs who enjoy playing the game and competing on the same levels as us. There's no point wasting your time questioning the legitimacy of it. They worked to build their account the same way you did. Unless you have proof otherwise, I don't see the issue. I think it's pretty cool.

We actually do know that no Kabam employee gets anything for free outside of test environments. There are many that play the game even publicly. For example, DLL. He is a champ designer and has designed 3 of the best champs this past year. If anyone would have special treatment (it doesn't exist) it would be him.

Let them enjoy the game they work on in their free time on their own personal accounts if they want to. They have just as much right to play as we do. Should we ban everyone in the CCP too? What about @Karatemike415 ? he does the deep dives.

Let's ban Beroman and MSD from the Battlegrounds tournament too. They may be some of the best players in the game but they have a youtube channel so it's a conflict of interest. Stupid

people will complain about everything... Let the devs enjoy the game like us. What's so wrong with that if they aren't getting special treatment?
I think it's a good sign that the devs not only play but have stacked accounts. It means they actually appreciate the game and will do what's best for it unlike what some people believe.

They’ll get better insight actually playing the game on ways to improve the experience for all. I’m willing to bet you’re one of the many that complain that devs don’t test their content or actually play the game. Then you come complaining because a dev is doing just that and they have a special title. Go outside and touch grass, come back when you’ve come to your senses.

I think you’re failing to realize this could be an internal Kabam policy to have this if they are a Kabam employee and have their own personal MCOC account. It sounds like a transparency thing and I’m perfectly okay with it.

Jokes aside, you should see that based on his roster & profile that he does NOT have access to all those resources in the slightest. He's a decent player who plays on a high level that joined/worked the rebalance team (like Jnik, remember him?). They do not get preferential treatment because they work as employees for kabam, and like most companies they favor their CUSTOMERS (us) over their employees. There is also an entire section in the TOS dedicated to details about employee accounts (basically saying they will be playing on the same grounds as normal players). Stop harassing them for showing the community that they are here and they are listening to us. I, personally, want to see the developers playing along with all of us. It gives a great peace of mind knowing that they are experiencing the same things we are and thus can actively work to improve the QoL in game.

I agree. Playing over and over again in a "controlled environment" (the development server, with the same people and same variables) will get variations of the same results. Playing in the "live server" against actual players will result in the same situations we all get: lag, bugs, missing inputs, strange AI behavior... so, yeah, it's good for them to have a real taste of their own medicine.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've read lately. The community claims the devs never play the game and they're out of touch. Now we can see who they are and now they shouldn't play the game?

The Kabam banner / title is a very recent addition. You have most likely played against Kabam devs many times before and just didn't know it because it is their own personal account.

I can debunk this. Nah's highest score so far in the few seasons I've been there is 700k. So.... not the 1-2 million you'd expect.

Personally, I welcome them being in the game, playing all the same modes we do.

Doing so raises confidence that they'll encounter the same issues we do, be just as frustrated by them as we are, and therefore more inclined to want to fix them.

As for them having unique titles, good for them. I have zero doubt that that's the only unique thing they're allowed for themselves, and they have to earn everything else through the same means as us.

Wasn’t there a post a while back where Miike stated that dev do play the game, are in alliances and Line chats. But they HAVE to be honest and let their alliance know they work for Kabam.

Honestly what's the difference between a dev having an account that doesn't reveal their a dev vs. an account that does? According to your logic they could "hypothetically do whatever I want" regardless of whether they are known to the community that they are a dev or not.

The devs have accounts, get over it, and if you truly believe that they have some sort of special advantage over someone then quit the game if you think it's such a problem. But the truth is they built up their accounts just like the rest of us, the only "perk" they get is a special title, which I think is great to see.
