We were all excited to hear about the 14-day legends login calendar beginning August 16 that offered substantial rewards just for logging in every day. I was among countless others that watched the livestream with glee and when they said “nows the time to push for that next level if you’re close”, I took it to heart. I spent the next couple weeks progressing towards Paragon, where I finally achieved it last night.
The livestream, the in-game messages leading up to it, the forum posts, all stated that all of the Legends Celebrations events and rewards began August 16th.
We even received an in-game message that states
“From August 16 5:00 PM PDT until August 30 5 PM PDT, Summoners who have become Proven or above can collect daily rewards tuned to their progression level.”However, that is not the case. They started the calendar exactly 24 hours before they explicitly stated it would begin. They started it at 8/16 at 0:00 UTC, when they should’ve started it 8/17 0:00 UTC which would’ve been August 16th at 5 PM PDT as per their own wording and messaging. All the rest of the events are starting around now, yet the highest rewards just for participating in the game began before they said it would.
This is not an issue that affects just my account - this is a wider issue within the game and the entire player base. I know I’m not the only one who pushed to become the next level up at the 11th hour. But all of that, as it stands, was for nothing with me being locked into the previous progression level rewards.
This message came out to everyone in game. And as it stands, it’s not even 5 PM PDT yet but they’ve already started the calendar 24 hours early:
