Kabam acknowledges their mistake - but won’t do anything about it

So they’ve finally accepted that they were wrong.

But they won’t do anything about it unless more people complain effectively? It’s bizarre that they will only do something if it affects a large base of players - when it’s their mistake to begin with.

If you were affected by the calendar issues from the past two to three days let me know.

You’re right. I’m not normally a negative person and I’ve generally taken them at their word over the past 8 years. This is the first time they’ve acknowledged it so you’re right.

My mini account is in the same boat - progressed to Cavalier 2 hours after the calendar became available and 22 hours before the announced calendar drop time. Stuck with UC calendar.

Doesn't matter. When they communicate that this is how it's supposed to work and players plan around that communication, it should work that way. The mail didn't say the calendar would reset at the usual time, it gave a specific date and time that it didn't match.

On the other hand. Why would something that has been the case for years change one time ever for almost no apparent reason. If it was the reverse then i'd understand the outrage. But we all know when the calendar resets regardless of what they tell us

Probably because that's what Kabam said would happen. Also, we obviously don't all know that. I always assumed special calendars started at a different date every time

This is nonsense. Not everyone has played for years and not everyone plays often enough to know the time for every reset. If something is communicated it should be safe to follow that communication. Saying “I know they told you something but you should have known it was wrong” is absurd when we’re talking about a mobile game telling us when something will happen.

In all fairness they said the calendar would start August 16th at 5PM PST and it started exactly 24 hours before then. While you are correct in saying calendars typically start 17 hours before the event, the communication said it wasn't going to happen that way.
