When Will Relic Whiffing be Fixed?

Title says it all. How can a successful, profitable, long-running game introduce a feature and promote it heavily in game, all the while allowing it to malfunction in regular game play?
Do some relics seem to perform more reliably than others? Sure—Gambit is a serial whiffer, while Storm feels pretty safe. Others fall in between.
Like other bugs in game, no real timetable, no relief given, no updates. And a handful of threads shunted back onto the Bugs page hardly constitutes notice or coverage.
What does it take to get things like this taken seriously?

So if extending the combo is paramount, any malfunction that vitiates that function significantly reduces the utility of relics. Finishing off the easiest Brutal chapters today, I’ve faced more relic whiffing (as well as frame rate issues, which I believe is connected with the relic issues) than I did for the hardest chapter.
Posting on the Trello board is a start @Pikolu —that much I will applaud. But this is silly. Relics are strongly suggested (if not almost required) in some content. If I recall correctly, they will be very useful in 8.3. How is this not front and center and worked out via beta as soon as possible?
I don’t think the team allows bugs to persist for devious reasons, but I admit I find myself gaining a little sympathy with those tinfoil hatters who suggest they do—if only because bugs just languish and languish in this game.

Is the game in the mechanical death spiral it was in when Kabam Taps-a-Lot was trying to resolve the Unity issue? Not at all. But there are a number of persistent issues that make clean game play difficult in the best of circumstances, nigh impossible in the worst. And it is very, very frustrating.

Relics malfunction for me regularly. I don’t think I’m the only one. I think it might be appreciated if selling relics for anything other than in-game currency were stopped until the mechanics of relics get ironed out.

Just give it to the community straight. It appears to be a broken feature of the game. Allowing it to continue without clear notice and relief doesn’t seem to be the way to build trust and confidence from a customer base.
