Anyone else really hating this DLX event?

Grindy, long, and mind melting. In a sense I feel this has helped me hone my skills a bit with so much repetitive practice before chapter 2. I've gone too far to turn back but if I see an event like this again I'm just going to skip it.

On top of being extremely tedious, it’s boring and brings me no ounce of joy to play it.
One would expect a challenge of this nature to be befitting of a “legends challenge” but it’s the complete opposite.

I started with chapter 2, hated it. Got to hulk, calculated I had to do it all again in chapter one multiple times and didn’t have enough items to complete based on my items used in Chapter 2.

Sometimes not being gud saves you prolonged frustration and boredom because you realize you can’t finish without units. Would have saved even more items and pulled the plug quicker if I had found the thread that the juggs fight was bugged.

I like chapter 2 I thought, hey this is a cool nod back to the old days, then I saw I had 6 other sets of 6 lines to do, on both accounts, and nearly quit.

I tend to do the hard part first (if possible) for new contents. I cleared DLX challenge and thought it wasn’t terrible, but a bit repetitive. I went to open chapter 1, Legend tab, and realized I have to do the whole map SIX MORE TIMES!!! Seriously, WHY!?!
A terribly designed quest. If given the choice, I’d much rather run DLX twice than having to do all the six difficulties.

It’s a very dumb and outdated format in my opinion but for a Free 7* it was very easy so I can’t complain too much.

It's really not that daunting if you do a few Paths now and then. It's extreme if you want to do it all at once.

I have a nervous breakdown everytime I look at the paths. There’s just way too many.

The first level is long and the second not too complicated so thank you for not doing something too complicated to have the 3rd token

There should be no exploration rewards for the act. Lock the big rewards behind chapter 2 completion/exploration (same thing). Don’t make me grind 4 difficulties of nonsense when the best prize is a few units and some t4cc selectors. I have 600 catalysts in my stash. Come on.

Chapter one is what made it brutal. I was fine with chapter 2, but would have liked for each of the fights in chapter 2 to have been a boss in chapter one. Then we aren’t fighting the exact same fights over and over until your mind is numb.

I've said this before as a recommendation for EQ as well:
If you complete a harder difficulty then you should be able to auto-complete easier difficulties for just the energy cost. It is such a waste of time and Kabam get no extra money out of me. I've proven I can do it by running the harder content... let me get the other rewards in exchange for energy but without spending 5+ hours running through easy fights (but not so easy that the auto-fight can do them for some reason)

The Arena event was tuned perfectly in terms of effort vs reward. The Brutal DLX ROL challenge is horrible to do. I think there are a handful of people that enjoy it. That’s good for them. The vast majority seems like are not enjoying the format.

Might be the worst thing they've designed in ages.

The only other terrible thing I thought of were EOP vs blade. Paragon needed to use dimensional beings.

I honestly didn't find it that bad for part 2. Part 1 is way too long; could have been half as long and been much better. Mags, infamous IM, Ronan made it easy though.

The individual fights were good, the Ctrl+V hot key musta been broken though because that one path was sent out 42 times for no discernible reason

I did it, but I think I broke myself in the process. I have a permanent twitch now whenever I see Magneto. It should be called BrutalRepetitveMonotonous&Mind-Numbing Challenge. I’ll have a new 7* from it, but I just feel dirty.

I wouldn't say I hate it. I did it for good rewards though I didn't enjoy fighting same 5 defenders 42 times.
