My issue with Emma Frost

Maybe I’m alone in this but why do her special attacks trigger things like biohazard and thorns when she is only using psychic attacks, Non-contact hits do not trigger these nodes but since they register as a physical hit even thought she doesn’t touch them she ends up taking a lot of damage during specials before switching back to diamond.

Why bring this up now?
Because I would love to select her from legends crystal but it’s impractical to use her on nodes that she was designed to handle and it bothers me.

I believe he is saying that because the specials don't actually involve emma physically hitting the opponent.

Does biohard not trigger on non contact attacks? I see the wording as when they are struck, not specifying contact or not.

I also see multiple iterations of thorns, one of which being worded the same.

I'd have to do some testing myself. However I would agree that they should be considered non contact attacks. It says on aunt.mai that they are energy non contact though, so this would require more digging.

Characters that don't touch the ground still get aftershock damage from Quake. America Chavez for example she's floating/flying most the time so why would what is happening to the ground effect her.

There's a lot of weird interactions that don't really make sense.

@Opandemonio yes and that’s my issue with it.

@Crow9074 that is true and maybe that should be looked at but I think this is different only because Emma is designed to combat nodes like Biohazard and such but even if you play perfectly you still need to throw specials to remain in Diamond form and with her special animations being so long you end up taking a lot of damage.
