Sure, It was a little long... But I Liked the DLX Challenge.
It allowed for a longer quest, without reading multiple set of nodes. And I think this type of design is what we've been asking for to reduce user "brain-strain" over node/character interactions in these type of longer quest. So although I think people didn't like it having so many repetitions, the format I could see working in the future to make longer content.
The quest itself I really enjoyed doing. Some of the fights were initially a pain but by changing my play-style they could be handled with a pretty wide array of people. People keep saying it was long and they aren't wrong, but if done right, it wasn't tedious. There were many beneficial nodes to help speed things along, provided you played properly.
I think maybe this event is getting heat because people expected harder and not longer. EoP 2. But harder means the rewards are kept from more people in the community. And thats not a very "Celebration-y" event. So I see how this came to be.
Overall: 9/10
Take off three paths of every quest in the first chapter, IMO. And it would still be long.
