well you see,
there once was a time where 4* crystals mostly came via collecting shards and were worth like 700 points or something when formed that way,
and they also came as extremely rare fully formed variations as drops from super hard content.
these versions gave 5000 points to reflect how rare they were.

when they have streamlined shard and fully formed together they have obviously chosen the fully formed version for whatever reason.
i would not qwuestion it as it is a good thing and we don't want them to reduce it.

Notice that it isn't a 4* shard crystal, but a full 4* crystal. The wording is significant because you need to be awarded a full 4* crystal instead of just making one with shards. If you scroll up, you'd notice the 4* shards crystal only gives 400 points.
