Team building - I need help!

Don't know if these images will work, I'll fix it if they don't, but please tell me my best 5 Champs that I should focus on upgrading. I want Champs who will be long-term, and carry me through a lot of the story. Also, please know I am not that skilled at the game, and that characters, like Prof X, are hard for me, so take that into consideration. I am trying to learn how to use him, I just suck.

(P.s. I have one 6*awakening gem, who should I use it on? Who would benefit most?)

    Archangel, Human Torch, Valkyrie are all top tier champs everyone uses long term. All relatively easy. Awaken archangel if you want a good awakening right now, or you can awaken valk for long term ( you’ll need to sig 200 valk but you can keep AA at 1
