Matchmaking update?

Wasn't there an update to how matchmaking will work on Monday? Will we get a breakdown of how it was changed? Specifically for alliance war -- the mode that needs it the most... @Kabam Miike

This maintenance period was to change backend systems to allow our team to more fluidly handle issues as they arise. There should be no impact to Summoner experience.

Is there a reason our alliance keeps getting switched over to a 3BG system when we only ever place in 2 BGs and my officer was constantly checking to make sure we stayed 2BG but matchmaking once again put us in 3BG?
