I mean, there are a couple of scenarios where that wouldn't be possible.
If someone uses marks but completes the amount of fights needed to earn rewards from seeding, but they didn't have the opportunity to "spend" more marks than they'd gain. It is possible for them to be in a situation where earned marks are just lost.

It's marks, we can't spend them on anything other than fights and if you win your fights, typically the net gain is greater than the cost.

Use the Elder Marks. What is the point on sitting on 9k EM's? Use them. That's what they're for. It makes zero sense to sit on that many EM's.

Clearly they made this new system to combat people hoarding elder marks cuz they want people to buy them. Should of known it wasn’t just to get rolls to GC easier

You actually had a good question and it is a reasonable ask. Maybe not the compensation aspect - but "could this be something we can claim instead of something that's just automatically given to us?"

It's likely a very small percentage of players - but there IS a possibility of people not being able to spend an amount of marks greater than the amount they would receive and if they're close enough to the cap, the excess would be wasted. That is accurate and concerning, even if it's only a risk for a small percentage of players.

But don't diminish it by being a troll.

9k EM's is 100 matches and that doesn't include everything you earn on the way. There's no reason to have that many.

It's not like it's a surprise how many you should get with the seeding, and there comes a point each season where you no longer get any for just climbing tiers. If you can't figure out how many you need to use before the next season to make sure it doesn't get wasted, that's on you and not Kabam

Kind of hard to spend 2200 marks before we get more, when after playing 5 matches the game forces 2200 on you instead of to the overflow.
