Win matches or fights for objectives?

As title states, are full match wins required for objectives or individual fights? If it's match wins required, this event just became a lot more grindy

Objective 4 is actually bugged it clearly states fights however is only giving you 1 point per match even when you win both fights.

Would be good to get an update on why this is occurring and when it will be rectified.

That blows. Not to mention, they don't stack. Just won a match & only got credit for the 1st objective. This final event just became a bloody chore for those that aren't BG fans

Very much hope you are right that it's a bug, otherwise match wins is going to feel a lot more grindy than fight wins, especially when it gets to the last objective.

@Kabam Miike Are objectives working as they should? I thought we have to win fights not the whole match to get objectives done!?

I’m on the 4th milestone now. Won 2 MATCHES but only have 2 points in the milestone. Where the tasks under the battle grounds tab listed as win 2 matches is now complete.

They have now changed the wording in game...lol... So they don't want to respond to anybody's question or post about this. But they just want to sneakily change the word in game

Doesn’t matter how the average player feels. As long as the whales keep spending the concerns of many will be ignored. This isn’t speculation, it has been proven time and time again in this game.

I’m typically very pro-Kabam, and pro-mistake, but oh my.

I cannot be an apologist on this issue. It clearly stated “fights” in the original forum post AND in game this morning.

There was time to fix this. There was time to make this clear to the community. They did not do that. And when they did fix it, they didn’t say anything. I’d have expected at least a post in News and Announcements.

I’m very disappointed in this decision. I hope that the game team can do better in the future to avoid things like this.

They can say it's not what they "intended" (if they do indeed say anything) like they've said so many times in the past but these things are written out and then put on the forums a week or more in advance. It seems like a compounding frequency that what they've written isn't actually what they "meant."

There would've still been complaints if they just came out and said they goofed and are fixing it, but leave it to Kabam to do it like this. It's not like no one would notice.

My biggest gripe though is this is too grindy. I'm not sure I've won more than 16 matches the whole time BG been in game.

A simple "oops" would of initially caught some ire, but it would eventually cool off. Just like everything else similar to this. It's the bait & switch with ZERO acknowledgement is what's really bothering me. If you need me, I'll be in the corner making myself a tinfoil hat. Maybe some of these ideas about Kabam & their practices aren't too far off the mark. What a bummer

Yeah maybe if you run BGs usually. For those of us who don’t run BGs bc we don’t care for it just got screwed. Going from winning 15 fights to winning 15 matches is a massive difference.

This is the lack of transparency everyone talks about when it comes to Kabam. I understand making a mistake. I draw a line when you refuse to make any comment on that mistake, and try to quietly change it.

I have a lot of respect for the Kabam team. They do a lot of good that is often overlooked. This is a situation where that respect is being tested and strained.

TL;DR I don’t mind having to win matches over fights, the lack of statement about the change is what I care about

Couldn't agree more. My only reason issue with the fights/matches change is it's 32 fights @ 100% win rate. Is that possible, yes. Odds of that happening, pretty slim. But the radio silence is plain garbage

Expecting to win 32 matches is just insane. Kabam need to fix this. They had it in writing. You can’t play dumb and go revise it from fight to match.

This is a complete change to the dynamic if the wins are per match. That will be a near-impossible grind for some. Even for those who plow through, the grind on this is massive. The announcement said fights. If the original text in game (I didn’t catch it) said fights, I don’t see how anyone could justify it. Clear end-around.

Any explanation on this? I agree that it’s unfair to drastically change this objective. The classic it wasn’t intended really doesn’t cut it on something like this. @Kabam Miike

This is such a drastic change. If Kabam openly said it was a typo, and then changed it. I'd be yeah okay bummer. That's fine but changing it so sneakily without telling anyone? That's low.

I knew something was off. I just did a match this morning and checked my progress after the fact and said out loud “pretty sure this said ‘fights’ yesterday when I was playing…”

Glad to know I’m not going senile that quickly.

It's not 32 wins and doesn't require a 100% win rate to only do it in 32 matches. It's 16 wins and 16 completions, which is significantly easier than 32 wins. Still far worse though than if it was fights
