I mean the event isn't over yet, but so far it's not looking great. One of the most disappointing and underwhelming things you've done in a long time. And I was on your side, advising people to manage expectations for this. My expectations were almost non-existent and this has still managed to disappoint.
I'm really trying to reserve my judgement for the final day, but that final day really needs to introduce a lot more than just a single "Loyalty selector" in order to make this worth it.
I just don't understand their marketing. Maybe last day will have amazing deals but why create such hostility until then? They really need input from CCP on deals. If anyone thinks 550 units for a 4* that most aren't even good is worth it at this stage of the game then I can assure you it's not. I just don't get it at all.
Today's "deals" are horrible. No 1 besides hoarders have that many units just sitting around. Thought @Kabam Miike said this wasn't going to be a spending event

plus buying all the bundles and selectors and for people saying do the bg solo event kinda hard when they did this mid bg and people moved up and took 60% of the quest already

Setting expectations: This is not like the Gold or trade-in events of the past. We're purposely trying to move away from huge sales and events like those that encourage months of hoarding. This is a much smaller-scale event entirely.
Not trying to dull your hype, but in the past, I've seen people set their own expectations really high, and then be disappointed when they're not met.
This is not to say that this isn't a cool event with some really rad deals to be found, because there is!

You use more gold during the course of a rank up with catalysts. The gems have the benefit of replacing the catalysts using gold instead and giving you a discount on the gold you would have spent anyway.
Everyone is at different points in the game, I don't do arena, yet I've never had a gold issue. Others will be in a different position to myself.

yeah paying a couple hundred bucks for some 4 and 5 star champs that i will never use as a Thronebreaker!! Rad deals!! Or 8888 units for a 3 to 4 star rank up gem really rad man!! Or giving a 6 star Awakening gem for 25 sig stones my heart cant take it so rad!!
