AW not releasing champs after swapping out on D

So I swapped a few champs out on D and after several wars they're still not available to pick on AW attack.

Per my roster I have 8 champs placed on defense.

Kate in particular I want to use on AW attack but she doesn't show as an option to pick because of this. I swapped her out after the first war of season.

Any ideas?

Make sure you removed them from each of the 3 war defense maps
