This has to be a bug, right?

If you haven't done the EQ yet, Thing has a node where he is immune to ability accuracy modification until he is knocked down by a heavy attack. Then you have a 10-second window during which he is vulnerable to it, and then it comes on again.

The thing is...Black Cat just doesn't care. As soon as she throws her SP2, without having thrown a heavy the entire fight, Thing starts taking an absurd amount of her damage-on-fails.

I have a theory about why this might be in-line with Black Cat's abilities, but I'm also like 90% sure that this is a bug and don't want to look like a moron when someone from Kabam says, "Hey, of course DAAR doesn't work on DAAR immune champions. It's a bug!"

But, ah, you only live once, right?

One possible scenario where this is not a bug and Black Cat is just an unstoppable DAAR goddess: the node works as intended, but her kit interprets things in her favor. Technically, I guess it could be possible that the intended effect when striking Thing with the sabotage debuff up is still failed with every strike, just in a roundabout way.

* No Sabotage: Thing is supposed to get a rock stack whenever you hit him.
* With Sabotage up, he's not.
* With both the node and Sabotage up, every "intended" effect (that is, not gaining rock stacks) is suddenly prevented by his ability accuracy modification immunity. Sabotage still sees these as fails and punishes them.

But that's enough post-midnight, mid-headache ramblings from me. I'm probably wrong. But I do like the idea of Black Cat not giving a cat's paw about DAAR immunity and just plowing on to an easy victory regardless.
