I held off commenting for a couple of months of EQs with the New Avengers tag, but for at least two months now I’ve had trouble getting the special button input to work when canceling Hypo’s heavy into either Sp1 or Sp2.
Controls remain an issue, but this one is especially vexing because it’s how you play a champ for max effectiveness.
Is there any real effort to figure out what’s behind dead inputs or inability to change inputs or whatever it may be? The dead special button is perhaps the most aggravating bug, especially in modes like BGs. While Hypo wasn’t a useful BG champ this meta, he has been quite useful in the New Avengers/Buffed Up scenario that crops up often in EQ or SQ. With other champs, heavy canceling is also a core mechanic that needs to function reliably.
Where does all this stand —specifically with regard to champs like Hypo but also more generally?
