He's pretty cool: great survivability, doesn't even need synergies, very large yellow number sp2.

Best matches are against those who bleed. Worst matches are unduped morbius against those who are bleed immune. At sig 20 he has a 50% chance to apply rupture against bleed immune which is good enough to take champions like mangog.

Overall, he is a solid and easy to understand science champion.

If they bleed, they get wrecked. Had a Duel against a 30k doom, 12 bleeds, sp2 did 105k dmg. I have full suicides. Busy to try out more, but that fight made the 30 quid worth it.

I'd go crit damage because of that sp2, 999/1000 times they'll have a petrify on them if you're playing correctly.

I personally will go with sp damage crit is kinda useless IMO. His SP2 had guaranteed crit at 10 bleed.

Only done a few ROL fights so far, but have to say I LOVE HIM!
His animations feel great, the heal is very good, very nice damage, some nice uitility when it comes to Heal and Power Control

We'll have to see where he lands in the game meta, but Kabam sure made a very enjoyable champ! Was planning on making Hulk my first R2 7*, but Morbius has quickly become a contender for me

When looking at the %es that Kabam is showing, the Special damage increases by 8% and the Crit damage by 15.6%. So only going off that the crit damage will be doing more for his SP2 than the Special Damage will

(Assuming there is no wonky stuff going on with how these percentages and the total damge is calculated ofc)

I’m fighting on whether it’s better to increase Crit or Special Damage. Not just because of the big SP2 crit, but because you need to spam a few sp1s to ramp.

Very excited to use him next BGs season, absolutely loved his design and he's super fun to play.
Also, I see people discussing the stats, I did a test with both armor penetration and critical damage rating ones, sp2 at 23 bleeds and these were the results:
Armor penetration

Critical damage rating

No idea why the difference is so massive since I dropped both sp2s at 23 bleeds but yeah, I'm keeping armor penetration on mine.

Lol what? He still deletes 80% of the top mystic defenders in less than 50 secs without it. His damage doesn't even come from his awakened ability.

How much bigger are we talking? Enough to justify it over the extra damage the cruelty gives over his basic attacks leading up to the SP2?

I haven't tested yet at high stacks of bleeds, but the difference isn't huge at 14 bleeds. On a r1 morbius it was 98k with cruelty and 100k with special, both against WS. Cruelty will still probably be better because of the basic attack hits. However if you want the largest possible sp2 number, special stat focus.

It adds 15.6% onto his 135.5%, so roughly a 10.7% increase was where that math came from

Interesting. I assumed armor penetration mattered most when fighting people with active armor up buffs/passives on them. Lots of good feedback in here though. I’ll have to do some testing myself, but I think I might stick with the crit damage, that way his basics are also getting that benefit when ramping.

Keep in mind his basic attack has very low damage output. all his damage comes from L2 and if you can't bleed the opponent then he will never finish a fight in BG. Yeah sure he can do some mystics so can Torch and Torch does it better along with some defenders listed below. Not saying Morbius is a bad champ, in fact, he is an excellent champ but not much use in BG. So "He’s literally perfectly built for battlegrounds" is not true.

Edit: Morbius actually heals from Iceman's cold snap. But damage output is very low.

You know, just because a champion can't take some fights doesn't mean they're bad for BGs. Tons of champions can't take Sersi, however even though Wiccan dunks on sersi, he is very bad against opponents who don't get buffs. Are you now going to tell me that Wiccan is bad for BGs because he can't take on 75% of all champions in MCOC?

Let's try him out for 1-2 BG seasons! There is 100% chance I could be wrong. But my argument is BG deck is limited to 30 champs so why I'm putting him in my deck when other champs can do much more than what he does?

You know, I was reading your list and it was very bad. Morbius can dunk on spiderham if you know what you're doing, OS gets one-shot by the sp2, attuma can be done better than most because you'll one-shot with the first sp2. It'll just be up to RNG how much thorns damage you take. Mole man 100% can be done, you trigger the frenzy and it is going to be a short fight after that (also, who even brings mole man into bgs anymore?) Peni isn't bleed immune, so you're just as well off with him as anyone else.

Moving on to an awakened morbius (sig 20 is 50% chance to place ruptures when they're bleed immune). From testing others have done, the 50% is fine for him. This allows him to take on Mangog, korg, apoc, ice man, warlock, dragon dude, nimrod, photon, and thing. The only matchups I wouldn't bring him into unawakened are those who punish bleeds/heavy shruggers, and bleed immunes. Once he is awakened, I just wouldn't bring him against those who punish bleeds/heavy shruggers.

Something else I just got reminded of is that Morbius is #Decay, so he will be doing super well in next season of BGs.
