How can a alliance in the top 150 of plat 3 have the same war rating an alliance in the top 300plat4

It's doubtful that a shell would be hanging around Plat. In terms of the current format of Matchmaking, if the War Ratings are similar, it's not broken.

If the alliance is winning a lot, then they can easily be in plat 3. Not all alliances are created equally. For example, they might have people who don't struggle on hazard shift and die, while the plat 4 alliance does. This could make or break wars and you get a lot more points from winning than losing.

Alliance A is in plat 3 consistently.

Alliance B was in gold 2 and won every war so far this season, but because their multiplier was lower at the start, they don’t have as many points to show for their success.
