Who are some underrated defenders?

There are a lot of underrated champion threads both on this forum, and on Reddit. But, most of them are about champions on offense. How about defensive champions that not many players talk about?

Dormammu in the current BG mechanics (health matters more than time) is pretty underrated.
I rarely see him on people's deck meanwhile my R4 eats at least 40% health from any opponent that is not buff immune.

Yes. I've mentioned this before, but Glancing is one of the most annoying mechanics in this game because of 100% Offensive AAR.

Tigra does a lot more work in bg then you would think. Especially in the few power gain metas we have had

Also Cap's SP2 does a lot of damage if you get clipped

Iceman, I rarely see him in people's decks, my r4 sig 200 has helped me clutch so many matches, sometimes even against Nimrods because of the coldsnap damage which usually takes 25%-30% health from them. But the best part is when they draft Torch and have no counters lol.

Herc has won me so many battlegrounds matches, even in high tiers. I’ve seen high tier players struggle to take him down too. Obviously some mystics trivialize him, but he can stall hard and infuriate can be dangerous

Iceman, red skull, hercules, king Groot all are very underrated defenders. I won so many rounds on bg just by putting them on defense while opponent underestimating them.

It lowers ability accuracy by 60%. Your parries and other abilities will consistently fail and he hits hard through your block

Infuriate reduces offensive
ability accuracy. Your parries are likely failing because he’s completed a feat (has been knocked down, he intercepted you) and you need to clear out his feats in order to stun him again

I think sauron isn't getting as much love as he should , being a defender. Can't count how many times i have lost because i forgot about his unblockable mechanics. His healing can be nuts too , with a solid immunities system

For BG;

Science: QS, Spot, Ant-man.
Mutant: Sauron, NC, Mr Sinister.
Tech: Yondu, Mysterio, Buffed IM.
Cosmic: Aarkus, Sersi, Groot (!!!)
Mystic: Spidey, Mojo, Chavez.
Skill: Misty, high sig CB, high sig BPCW.

Not that they are hard, but without a good counter you will use plenty of time to take them down, and/or take damage.

Some defenders I found to be surprisingly effective:

America Chavez. Power gain, unblockable hard to dex sp2

Mr Fantastic: Natural energy resistance, evade can slow the fight down

Spidergwen: Hard to fight unless you have an evade counter

Elsa (with suicides)

Crossbones: AAR and shrug off

Daredevil HK: Same as Xbones

Electro: Static shock chip damage

Hulkbuster is a good defender if they don’t have a cosmic attacker. He reduces offensive ability accuracy by 20% per armor up he has, inflicts shocks when hit with a crit, and if awakened gets some nice regen.
