Do alliance tickets expire?

Someone was telling me in global that alliance tickets expire and give 6500 gold each. Is that true? And if it is, when do they expire?

    Wish they'd refund what was paid for them or give battle chip or loyalty trade options. Mine were all acquired from even distribution of the 3 and gold is something I don't need more of but could always use the others.

    Lol in my case I need gold so I’m turning in 500k loyalty so I can get gold
