So this is my fight I had no choice but to use shuri. I figured I lost but torch never went into his nova flames. Why? Also I pretty sure my opponent thinks I cheated but I was as shocked as he was

Never said he won't get smoulders, but you don't get incinerated when you're not touching him, and smoulders alone don't nova flame him

Did you have incinerates on you as well? Abilities says he needs 20 temp and you need at least 7 incinerates.

Shuri "non contact" gives Torch smoulders when she hits him on block or face.

But Torch with smoulders can't apply "fire debuff" to Shuri because her attacks are "non contact"

Why non contact attacks are working differently for almost same interaction? Can recieve smoulders but can't apply fire, torch should counter her on defence as well.
