    Its just RNG. Kabam matchmaking works by matching you with another player of the nearest skill level that is in your immediate area. Sometimes that player just happens to be a Paragon player.

    It depends how far you progress. If you make it to a tier where there are few cavs like Diamond 2, you will be unlikely to face other cavs.
