RIP to the Regular 2k Arena Crystal - It's gone, come pour one out with me lol

Assuming this was done purposefully, with the new progression level coming.
If so, this will likely be the end of most arena grinding as we know it, outside of grinding for a newer champ.
Sad day for the community if permanent, and I hope it is put back in some time soon.

(besides for all the other posts about missing crystals, not just BC crystals, so must be a glitch..)
(..and, only valid point, if indeed purposely, would be that the UC versions are normally only available if you are actually UC or higher progression, so would otherwise leave entry level people out of luck, but…)

What makes you think that getting rid of the lowest level 2000 BC crystals, leaving just higher level BC crystals, will lead to the death of arena ?

You know that the odds for pulling Units and Gold are the same for the higher cost ones.
And that when those items do “hit” from a pull, the amount of Units or Gold is exactly proportionally higher in these higher BC crystals, scaling in reward to match the scaled cost of BC's needed to buy them.

So actually, over large enough sample size, you are getting the SAME no matter which version of BC crystals you opt to buy/open.

Now, your odds at pulling Immortal Iron Fist may indeed be cut by 1/5 odds, opening 5 normal BC crystals vs just 1 UC BC crystal. But the reward would actually be a higher Rarity (*) version of him. So I'd say that's not really a downgrade.

And you could go parse thru DNA3000's analysis posts about BC large sample openings, and look at Energy pulls too. I think the quantity (or Full vs Small Energy) gets scaled up in the higher crystals, making up for the odds of an individual pull remaining the same although costing 5 times more. But you can look for yourself.

    .

You have the same exact chance at pulling immortal iron fist in all arena crystals. Zero percent.

It's still there. Must be a bug.

    Lol.
    Oops, thinking of wrong crystal.
Ok, substitute Punisher. (or is it UC. or Kang/Thanos, wait nope that is Loyalty and Gifting/Banquet, ok so it's punisher. Lol)

    Sorry for the false alarm!
Looks like it was a temporary in-game bug, as it is back :)
Thank you for the heart palpitations, Kabam :D
