Advice on what content to do after break and updates on game

I just came back from a break since mid 2021 and have no idea what any of the new content is. When I stopped playing I had just reached cavalier and got burned out after act 5 exploration. Is there any advice anyone can give on what content to do next and what characters are good now?

Level up Apoc, Kingpin, and Torch. Them plus NF, AA and Doom will cover most things.

Only thing I don't see is a great Cap IW counter, you want someone with high or guaranteed crits.

Basically push story as much as you can. Act 7 and 8 are easier than 6, if you hit a roadblock try some EQ but story is priority.
