Whilst I'm sure a lot of people will be most interested in the Sandman buff (which I'll also cover in the second section), I primarily thought it might be worth flagging up a few of the smaller changes that might be overlooked. Particularly in the "Bug fixes and Improvements" section, where there's some nice info, which the significance of might not be immediately apparent:

1: Fixed an issue where fighting Black Widow (Deadly Origin) with a Black Widow relic could crash the game - the subject of too many threads to name, this has been a long time coming!

2: Fixed an issue with AW defender portraits blocking nodes: really nice little QoL change - thanks! Hope it applies to Quest nodes, too 😃

3: Fixed an issue with Emma Frost’s Heavy effect while in Diamond Form using incorrect tech - if you don't know what this means, I hope it means they've fixed a bug where her ability to reduce the power granted by a Heavy Attack was counting as a Power Lock; which made it pretty hazardous fighting Galan. 4: Fixed an issue with Stryfe not stunning unstoppable champs through their blocks as he should - that's a pretty powerful ability that wasn't working. Sounds useful!

5: Updated Yondu, Wolverine (X-23), and Elektra to respond to Champions that gain and lose Bleed Immunity within a fight - As someone who likes Yondu (a surprisingly good damage dealer, in longer fights), this sounds amazing! It'll substantially enhance his effectiveness against Apocalypse, Emma Frost, and potentially non-mutant opponents like Abs man. Shout-out to @Cat_Murdock (as someone who rates Yondu pretty highly) so she gets the news early.

6: Fixed an issue where Iceman was detonating Frostbite passives on blocked hits - this is another important bug fix, which has actually been fixed pretty quickly - see this thread for details: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/350545/iceman-frostbite-bug

Thoughts on these bug fixes/QoL changes? Or any of the other I didn't cover?

Sandman's Buff Details

Stated goals of the update:

1: Reduce the damage difference between Special 3 loop vs Special 1/Special 2 loop while still keeping their identities split between damage and utility.

2: Increase ramp pacing so that Sandman still scales over fights while accessing meaningful damage in his first and second Unstable states.

Actual changes made
The big change: Changed all Unstable Physical Burst Damage from scaling with Base Attack only to scaling with Attack Rating.

The medium changes:

Increased the Heavy Proficiency Attack Ratio from 0.1 to 0.125.
Increased the Signature Ability Heavy Proficiency Bonus Ratio from 0.05 to 0.0625.
Lowered the Heavy Proficiency max stacks cap from 10 to 8.

The changes to stop the big one getting too out of hand:

Changed on-knockdown Debuff-based burst Physical Damage Attack Ratio from 0.05 to 0.04
Added a burst Physical Damage Debuff scaling cap of 20.

It sounds good to me - it should make him a lot stronger earlier in the match, without making him overpowered later on. What are your thoughts?

This is the most important fix. Maybe we will stop getting 2 or 3 new threads a week.

Others that had received numerous complaints in the past (whether or not they were critical, they were brought up a lot)…

Galan's VFX related to glowing eyes/mouth on some devices.

UI issue during AW Enlistment, where Enlistment Status wouldn’t update correctly.

Opening multiple sets of crystals would only show results from final set of 10 crystals. (Gold being the item most complained about, but not the only item, from this issue)

Yes! I have been so excited about this. This is such a needed modernization for them that I’ve been asking about for a while. Their immunity check wasn’t working against any nodes that granted bleed/DOT immunity either, but now it will which is VERY helpful. Yondles is gonna be a great option for IMIW as well now, since he’ll be able to frequently armor break him. Apoc’s block damage is gonna be nothing. An already great champ about to get even better 😈. I need to hurry up and get the rest of my Dust to finish my Ascension.

I just took Elektra to r4 like two weeks ago too so this is also great timing for her.
