Hopefully an easy war question

My alliance and I stopped paying attention to war once the persistent placement came into being. We're now trying to care more, but we were wondering if these issues (or issues to us at least) have been addressed. I can't find it on the forums but I'm also not the best forum searching with their search bar.

1. For persistent placement, do your initial masteries that you place with stay the entire war season, or does it still reset to whatever you current masteries are once matchmaking begins for each match?

2. Can the officiers kick out or swap members from a battle group to another, or do the members still have to do it themselves?

Masteries lock at the time of matchmaking, it is no longer tied to when you place defenders.

Members need to move themselves, officers are limited in removing them from maps.
