Auto complete and item use problems

By chance I decided to auto complete the daily ISO fields quests today. But when attempting to use an energy refill to finish the second difficulty, the game stopped responding and didn’t let me use the energy refills until I entered a regular act 6 quest.
I have a feeling it has to do with the new update but anyone else had this specific problem?
