Battlegrounds match making

Is the game going off anything other then your battlegrounds rank when match making ? I keep getting super uneven matches. The last match my opponent had a hero rating of 3.2 million , im at 400k , pretty big difference , it's like Mike Tyson fighting a baby , Iv lost before it even begins
