Should I take Doom or 6 star Shuri in necro?

LickyLicky Member Posts: 333 ★★★
I've got a rank 4 doom who I can rank 5 and a rank 3 Shuri who I can rank 4 ( both awakened)

Who should I take into necro, btw my team is

R4 Ascended Aegon
R3 Juggs
Heimdall
Proxima
Doom/Shuri

I can't make my mind up cos I know Shuri can block unlockable specials and has great dot and tankiness but I'm really worried about Air Walker and I was wondering if doom would work for him cos of the passive stun from the shock for ez knockdowns and he will be better for grandmaster

Thanks for the input guys :)

    Good luck!

I would remove Proxima and Heimdall. Also i cant imagine trying to bring a R4 Shuri in to Necro and trying to ramp her with that time limit, it would just be burning resources.

Thats my roster, haven't included Aegon gonna R4 Sig 200 ascend him tho

Who would you recommend using or should I just build a team around Aegon and use juggs for last phase of necro Grandmaster?

    Thanks

Would this be a good team

    R4 Ascended Aegon
    R1/2 Chavez
    R5 doom
    Heimdall
    Juggs R3

    Max boosts

I advise you to wait until you can r5 aegon, also r4 your juggs if you're planning him to use against gm reverse controls

Heimdall will only let you eat 1 sp3 per fight, i don't know if that's worth the slot over a different champ that could help

Yeah that's true but I'm only planning on using him for last phase, so I'll hold off on the R4

That's true, I'll think about that

My Necropolis team was Aegon, Shuri, Wiccan (for reverse controls), Proxima and Heimdall. Aegon and Shuri cleared, Wiccan handled the final phase of the GM, and Heimdall saved many revives. Your lower ranked champs will need more revives, but from a "can they handle the fights" perspective, that team works VERY well.

I cant see how Heimdall would save you many revives unless you were intentionally pushing opponents to sp3 every single fight

Do you have experience with a r4 shuri? Because my backup plan was r4 ascended shuri, same as I plan with chavez if I don't pull the 7 star at cyber weekend. R4 ascended could still put in work imo

She could definitely still put in work but the timers for R4's are pretty short it might not be the most cost-effective option, especially because she needs to ramp up every fight which takes time. I wasn't trying to say she'd be bad or anything. Just that with the time it takes to ramp you might not have much time with the max damage before the die now mechanic hits

If you plan on using Aegon for the majority of the run then I would not remove Heimdall and proxima. Proxima will make the ramp up considerably less stressful and Heimdall will save you from death once per fight and when you think about the furies Aegon will get, you can do another 150k damage or more in those final few seconds
Heimdall would save Aegon from a single hit and if you're talking furies you either are trying to do the unstoppable heavy which you need to pray you can release before you get tapped a second time and that the enemy doesn't have a DOT or you're talking about eating a combo to get the furies in which case you would still die after the first hit. Im not knocking the strategy as i haven't tried it yet but just in paper it doesn't seem like a good idea

R4 Shuri would work alright, but r4 and r5 don’t have much gap in challenger raging. Sadly, you’ll want her as a 7* to have a massive difference and a lot of people haven’t pulled her yet. 140 and 150 is definitely noticeable, but 140 and 200 is huge

Once he’s ramped up if you get hit once you get the furies and an unstoppable. So you’re not eating a combo. You’re taking one hit then unleashing a massive amount of Aegon damage lol

To add on to that: enemy DOT doesn't matter if you're doing it correctly because you purify on the next hit with aegon.

Neither. Take Odin and do everything with Aegon.

This is just terrible advice. They're both needed, especially for a r4.

Well I did it with a R4 Aegon without Heimdall or Proxima. True - wasn't pretty or extremely fun, but it wasn't absolutely horrible either... doable (mediocre player really, about 80-90 revives)

R4 ascended Aegon with heimdall is plenty good. You can use hik for all the fights in path 1
