Shang-Chi vs. Mantis, who will you prefer to 7R3 first?

Given you have a skill-class 2-to-3 7 star rank up gem, and you have 7 star Shang-Chi and Mantis, who would you prefer to rank up first?

I’ve got them both, the only thing is Shang has zero defense.

But as an attacker and for utility, it’s Shang all day.

If you main focus is BGs id go Mantis since she is a dual threat, if not then go shang

Had both and also Black Cat. Ranked Shang Chi. Compared to the other two he doesn't have defensive use, but he's stronger, doesn't rely on debuffs and more fun to play in my opinion (which in my opinion is the most important thing to consider)
