Am I tweaking? What's up with champs blocking Zemo when rooted in BGS?

The opponents in the side quests, event quest even BATTLE GROUNDS are blocking full combos while they're rooted, what is this??
I even tried slowing down my combo to get them to release the block ,they just kept blocking this has happened twice in BGS just today, and I don't think I need to explain why it's detrimental to his playstyle.
Is this a issue with the champ( I hope not I just took him to R5) or just the root in general??

Someone brought this up a little while ago. It appears they made another change that shifted the AI to block while rooted. I don’t think it was ever acknowledged by Kabam so we don’t really know if it’s intentional (new normal) or if it’s a bug that they will fix at some point.

This is not new. Does not happen every time. More likely to throw a heavy in my experience, so I sometimes pause a second to let them whiff and then attack. Most of the time though I am able to throw the sp2 and starting my attack.

If rooted champs just stood there every time, Zemo would be too easy to use. The AI is doing exactly what an actual player can do when rooted.

AI usually spams heavy when they're rooted but I guess AI decided to evolve and is now holding blocks, very fun 😀

@Colinwhitworth69 you're absolutely right, but there is a clear change in AI behavior versus what it has always been. If they are just going to hold block, then there really isn't a point in throwing an SP2 outside of getting decelerate up. I am finding it more difficult to get to the sp1 to build up the bleeds while they are rooteed.

With him being an attack tactic champ this cycle, I'd imagine we'll be seeing more of these posts.
