Who would you say is the better BG defender: OG Iron Man or Peni Parker?

OG Iron Man has proved to be a capable defender with his tankiness and his hefty regen that comes at low health. I took r4 iDoom out of my deck and replaced him with OG as I felt the revamped Iron Man had a bit more going for him.

Recently I pulled 7* Peni and have contemplated replacing Iron Man with her once I r2 her. While I don't enjoy using her offensively as much as OG, she still has plenty of uses and that sync-shield of hers is fairly annoying without the right counter.

Who do you think is the better overall pick?

7* r2 Peni Parker (unawakened)

IM is fairly easy to fight imo. Peni has a couple counters now, but without one it’s pretty much an instawin. A 7* one would especially be annoying af

That was kind of my thought. Most Peni's I've gone against have been a r4 awakened, or a r5 at most in a very small percentage of fights. But I feel a 7* version of her, a r2 at that, would not be very fun to fight against.

The trick to using Peni as a defender in battlegrounds is picking her late in your draft. If you pick her early, you put your opponent on notice and they’ll be spending every round looking for a good counter. If you get lucky enough to snag her later in the draft, it limits your opponent’s ability to get that counter pick.

ive got a duped 7* peni and im certain she'd do great on defense, but ive honestly only used her on attack. sp1 sp2 and every opponent is dead, and she finishes at 100% thanks to the shield. plus shes my best nick counter (only b/c of dupe). absolutely worthwhile investment
