Editing forum posts

So I have to admit, most of the times that I do post on the forums, I find a spelling mistake or think of something to add and make use of the edit function, like a lot…

All within the 15 minute window where edits are possible, of course…

But more often than not, after the second or third edit (I know…) I will get a prompt “your post will get published after being approved”, and it disappears entirely… Of course it never re-appears.

Now I understand that system will be in place for bot-protection or what not… But is there a specific policy or guideline, of how many edits within the 15 minute time frame are safe?

When that approved thing comes, do a new post. They don't actually approve but delete these posts. If you do too many edits, add new images, do a last second edit or add replies to Jax/Miike often, forum auto mod takes it to be suspicious.

In everyone's experience here. It's honestly random. Before you edit a comment or post you make be sure to copy it in case it gets deleted.

    Understood, thanks guys…

Thing is: The last time this happened, I actually had copied the text before, but even when creating a new post, the „to be approved“ message appeared and the post was not posted…

I also made a post about it, got no answer.

Nothing I hate more than reading my post after it goes through only to find a fat fingered spelling error.

Posting a near exact duplicate of a prior message can sometimes trigger the forum spam filters, which then cause the post to go into the approval bucket.
