How many GGC do we need to buy if all we care for is max alliance milestones?

Solo milestones don’t look worth it at all.

Someone told me with the 27 free GGC we get, that we only need to purchase 3 GGC’s with units and then we can qualify for all alliance rewards.

Is this true?

    And is it 27 free Greater ones we get, or just 23 greater (plus 3 Lesser ones) ?

    My quick math, assuming 23 free ones, was need to purchase 7 GBC's for the ALLY event.
    (and 37 for top milestone of SOLO)

    If you count the calendar and accolades. You need to spend 950 units to hit all the milestones as well as all the units you get in the milestones.

    If you count the calendar and accolades. You need to spend 950 units to hit all the milestones as well as all the units you get in the milestones.
    That's 950 of your prior/existing units, plus the additional 1150 units you get for free from both event's milestones, equaling 2100 units in total ?
    So thus the 7 crystals.
