Nameless Guillotine Challenges - my experience

I decided to tackle the challenges to get the last Nameless Guillotine Piece.

My team
: 7R1 G2099, 6R3 Guillotine, as well as unranked 6-star Purgatory and Morningstar. I toggled between bringing in another Guillotine or G2099 for the fifth spot, and didn't really notice a difference for the path. You might be better suited to bringing in a 2nd version of the champ you'll use on the Boss, as that may save you a revive or two.

G2099 was my main path and boss clearer. Guillotine pitched in for a few defenders on the path, as well as the initial practice on each boss so I could get a hang of each fight without wasting a 100+ combo G2099.

8.4.1: Path with Cyclops:
Used G2099, short combos + parries + SP1 to keep them below 1 bar of power so they never throw a special so never have to deal with unblockable. When you switch focus to building to SP3 before they reach 5% health, just parry more often.
With Namor defender, once he triggers Imperius Rex, just play defensively till he drops below 1 bar of power. Then you can just go super aggressive, since the constant power drain and the node power drain means you don't have to worry about specials.
With Misty defender, she will occasionally go unblockable and evade, so just watch out for that.
No revives on path used; G2099 ended path with like 20% health.
Boss Cerastes: First used Guillotine to get used to the fight mechanic, and then switched over to G2099 for the rest. Bait SP1's or SP2's as the Phase indicates, push into the trap. If you want power, use medium ending combos to trigger evade and block the beam. I probably used 10 Revives and some health potions, as taking damage when abilities fail to trigger is no joke.

8.4.2: Path with Prof X:
Used G2099. Dex specials to deactivate weapon, use SP1 to capture it, and then fight away. I believe you want to activate your prefight so you can at least benefit from some of the weapon crits.

Only tricky fights are Apoc and Crossbones - Apoc because you'll take some critical hits into your block before you can entirely deactivate the weapon; Crossbones because the spacing is hard to dex his SP1 and have it qualify as a dex that deactivates the weapon. Otherwise, no revives needed on the path.
Boss Bahamet:
With the path I took, Willpower healing is activated on Bahamet. You can probably use Guillotine to take advantage, but I instead just used G2099 and threw revives. I focused on not really combo'ing, but just doing enough to keep him below 1 bar of power as I collected 3 charges. Then bait SP1, reflect the blast (use a Special if you have no green charges; heavy it if you have green charges), and attack.
The one thing to note with the Node path I took - G2099's regen at 15% means that Bahamet will heal a ton if you don't have Spectre on. If I was close to 15% health, I started focusing on just building to an SP2, use it to apply Spectre, and then let Bahamet hit me to activate the regen while Spectre was on. This regen reversal seemed to remove about 2% health from Bahamet.
You can try using the prefight and timing out your 20th hit for your special, but it seemed more of a hassle to line up combo meter and SP2 than it was worth, so I ultimately stopped focusing on it.
I experienced some weird issues during the fight - sometimes during some phases, he wouldn't gain any volatility charges, but when I revived it was back to normal.
Again used about 10 revives.

8.4.3: Path with Spider-man
Used Guillotine on Spider-man because I didn't want to lose health by getting evade countered, but used G2099 for rest.
You'll take some coldsnap damage if you block as you build to 15+ combo to deactivate the weapon. This is slightly an issue against the evade champions since you aren't doing full 5-hit combos, but it is nothing too bad. Again, you'll likely want to activate G2099 prefight to be able to crit. Fights aren't too bad with G2099 at 100+ combo, I just had to make decisions whether to use specials during the fight, whether I wanted to crit or not crit so I didn't have to worry about taking off too much health before I could use an SP3, or save my SP3 so I could bank the combo. No revives used, just some health potions before Spider-gwen and Mangog.

Boss Cerastes:
Took only about 3-4 revives. Do hits into block (easy if you dash in right after his SP1), knockdown (easy after relic stun, or from parry stun in the initial phases), and Relic striker attacks.
It took longer than I remember to remove armor stacks, since I wasn't using a Cosmic champion like I had during my exploration. My striker relic especially seemed to be very slow, so it was often the one that I couldn't get down in time before the other armor stacks replenished.
Not too bad a fight, and after my G2099 got knocked out in the last phase, I let Purgatory have a chance to shine by getting in the KO hit.

Overall, pretty doable challenge with g2099. I probably could have practiced with Guillotine and did the Bahamet fight a lot better, but I decided to just stick with what I knew.

I managed to get the challenge done itemless with r3 g2099 and r3 og guilly (6 stars).

I took all the same paths, but I found the health steal prefight amazing for 8.1.6 and 8.2.6 with the added damage on basics healing any chip damage.

Og soloed sytalis and bahemet, just a lot of healing and I practiced them twice before the challenge started.

G2099 is amazing for cerastes as long as you don't lose combo. I got a 5 min solo with the r3.

Just adding tips for all those who want to try this fun challenge. Cheers!
