Now before you get mad, I'm not complaining. Most of my ranked champs are offensive dot so I'm good. But in the nodes, essentially basic attacks do no damage and you cannot get powere unless the opponent(defender) is suffering from a damaging debuff. Now I know the chance is very low but isn't there are a chance that someone doesn't have any offensive dot champs. Does that mean they can't do any damage. I mean the chance is probably less then 1 percent but there could be someone who every 6 star crystal they've opened they haven't gotten any offensive dot.

You just need someone who places a DoT or has power gain to be fine in the meta.
