Someone posted a tweet.. it seems its gonna take some time
Very much hoping that we hit 11M in the final 24hour push so that I can open a titan crystal. I'll be hitting refresh every 15 minutes or so to check.
Waiting for 2 crystals from the crypt, and early February open a Titan and another 7*... That's 4 chances at a great mutant... If all that fails, Storm X it is...
So I picked Cosmic for both selector crystals and got VtD and Odin.
.... So I guess I'm just gonna hold onto the gem
Now it's paytime!
We've been assuming all along that the death counter was, if not a live counter, at least a close to live counter. As in, the devs look at the counter, then post a tweet or give out the counter on live stream. But this tells us that there was never a counter for the devs to look at, because the game is not counting the deaths automatically and handing them a count. Rather, the data people were generating a periodic count to give out to us. The fact that it could take another day to finalize the count implies that we might have been a day behind the true deaths in the Necropolis the whole time, which means in a sense, we might have been underestimating deaths by some small amount.
So even though the trend of the last few days had is topping out around 10.8 million, there might be enough left to bridge that gap. How's that for some Road copium.
And for those wondering if there was a big push at the end:
We needed a couple hundred thousand more above the trend to hit eleven million, and @Kabam Miike might have been half a percent of the entire amount. Now that's community spirit.
You know who cares more about the community π€£
Without the Road to the Crypt incentive, I likely would've NEVER attempted this - at least not any time soon. I've never participated in a single piece of End-Game content and for the longest time I was a "middle of the road" player, now I'm a "Baby Paragon."
The Crypt rewards motivated me to give it the good ol' college try. And I'm someone who can get frustrated and flustered a lot and feeling helpless reached out to the community. There was nothing but support, reccomendations, tips, and encouragment from the community - because everyone wants to see everyone else succeed in order to get those rewards increased!
No "skill issue" or "git good" comments, just people generally supporting each other - and then razzing them if they weren't "bad enough" for more deaths lol. At the end, I completed my run with my R4 Γgon with 93 revives. And if I had done this event entirely by myself - not using the forums and twitter/reddit to look for guidance and get support, it wouldn't have been nearly as fun. Way to go Kabam - best content event ever put out.
