Venom pool bleed damage

So I have a rank 4/40 Venompool. His description reads "100% chance to bleed 2047 direct damage or 4.50 seconds" I only see him getting about 235 per tick should it not be 500 damage per tick with either SP1 or SP2.

Is actually doing more damage due to your masteries.
Each seconds does 2 ticks. So, 4.50 seconds are 9 ticks.
2047 / 9 = 227 damage per tick
