Pause on Battlegrounds

I think 15 seconds should be the maximum time you can pause in BG, it makes no sense that kabam allows you to pause during the entire fight, this is a competitive mode, if pausing and doing nothing allows you to earn more points than your rival, something is definitely wrong. please let's make a little noise about it so that kabam can speak out about it.

No he is saying that if the opponent pauses the entire fight, the max points he get is 15k(for health).
And if you are not even capable of scoring more than that then you should look and upgrade champs that are relevant to this meta.

This is a dumb argument. 15k points is not guaranteed. It's all dependent on your draft. Sometimes if I have no good matchup I like to trap my opponent with an even worse matchup. . It's not fun when they just pause and win with the default points

I'm type of player who does not undergo any shame in abusing "feel good" rules to win. Pausing included.

If you are not able to score more than 15k points in BG then you deserve to lose, hell I'd say players scoring below 30k points should be considered very very lucky if those 30k points lands a win.

So how about less accusations and more getting better at game by understanding the meta and understanding the counters to fights, cheers.

You can see it that way if you want, but that doesn't stop the problem from still existing. If you think that designating a competitive mode in which you shouldn't compete at all and still have a chance of winning, I think we have a conceptual problem, because you know "battlegrounds", "competitive mode".

I rather suggest, if the player pause for more than a specific time, let's say 30 seconds, they are kicked out of match with no bonuses (0 points)

That's the point, in any other meta than the current one, if I have to pause because something comes up, any competitive player assumes it's a loss, so I don't see the point of allowing pausing for the entire fight, I understand where the comments are coming from. , and it tells you a lot about what kind of players they are when they assume that you bring up a problem because they think that you are automatically bad at it, I'm watching a stream and a guy paused his three fights, if you defend that and penalize or want to ridicule the who tries and fails, forgive me but that is not right.

**Suggestion**

One idea would be to Lose an amount of Health based on the duration of your Pause.
Takes effect once you resume (or fight times out, which doesn’t it sort of resume on it's own for a split second anyways it you had stayed paused until the end ?)

(A) Either you lose health at the rate of your Max Health / Max Fight time (120 sec) times # seconds you were paused.
So pausing right away (when still at 100%) would cause you to end up at basically a tiny bit above 0% if you pause the entire fight.
Otherwise, pausing for say 12 seconds would cause you to lose 10% of your Max Health (12 / 120).

(B) Or at least at half of that rate (Max Health / 240 * Paused Duration), so you could finish no better than 50% if paused the whole fight.

(C) Or, which would closer resemble what happens in AQ and some other content, make it at Half Rate of your CURRENT Health at the time you Pause. Pausing from beginning would still result in 50% at end. But if you Paused later in the fight, after being down some already, it gets treated like quitting in AQ where you just lose an additional 1/2 of where you are (if you end up staying Paused for the rest of the fight duration).

Resuming after just checking Nodes (or momentary interruption by kids, etc), would bring you down in Health according to the Rate above once you Resume. Which *may* (in the case of A or B above) cause you to be KO if you were already low on health, or (in case of C) would come back at 1/2 of where you were when you paused.
