I don't get the Hercules hype

Ok to begin with I'd like to establish that I'm not saying Hercules is bad.
Wanted him really badly ever since he entered the game
I pulled him a few weeks prior r4 sig 140 rn
I just don't get why people like him.

Like why? He isn't really a bgs champ, he's a subpar defender, people say he's good for incursions, I'm not saying he isn't but Angela imo is much much more fun in incursions than him, his damage is pretty nice but CGR has plenty, if it's utility then Hulkling has better access to buffs and better immunities
I took the guy up but I don't find myself using him anywhere, is immortality the only thing that he's got going for himself ?? Is it the suicide masteries that make him shine?
Am I Missing something?

His immortality basically means you can kill anyone if you are agressive enough.
He is a jack of all trades master of none kind of champ
Also he is great attacker in bg in other meta if you are super aggressive with him.
Still I prefer doom over herc as best champ in the game

Idk man herc has saved me plenty of units and revives against several cash grabby fights. I don't ever remember cgr or angela or hulkling doing that

I’ve a R4 ascended 200 sig, he got me the legends title in incursions but apart from when I need a cosmic miss and auto block counter, I choose cgr and hulkling. But like you said, Angela can do the same.

I find damage is more reliable than cgr though, especially when his charges are up. The burst damage is good.

He’s mostly tied up in my AQ path all week.

Good to have him though.

Is there a champ that does similar damage, has easy access to counter miss and autoblock, stun immunity, some resistance to bleed and poison, infuriate (easily bait specials), ability to tank an sp3, AND a long enough second life to destroy whatever’s left of your opponent?

I think that’s his perk: Versatility, as in being able to take so many different types of fights…

Bro can’t have done enough content (with Hercules) if they’re asking that question… brute force cheat code is the answer.

His value might have diminished slightly, since he's not really a Necro option and the content he was amazing for has aged out i.e. Gauntlet and EOP.

You could be a very mediocre player and he could still allow you to do this stuff very cheaply. 20% revives were still abundant; pop one and you're good to go, no healing up, no big revives needed.

He's an AQ powerhouse in any non-specialist paths. You could screw up very early on and survive the fight you can just immortality your way through the rest of the map.

He has some great incursions friendly synergies and with the right hacks and sp2 stun, he can stun lock entire fights while doing massive damage.

I think the biggest drawcard is that in game where the defender and node notes are becoming mini-encyclopedias; he allows you to switch off your brain (it's for the same reason Aegon is popular for Necro). Some of us simply don't have the time to do a 10-minute perfect fight, when the point of us playing is to chill out.

He is still a good option ofe pesky techs like guardian and future antman in necropolis. Also a solid counter for grandmaster

If you're not running suicides then the results you see aren't as good so I get it. He heals up from both due to resistances to bleed and poison, I add the coagulate mastery to increase this healing. Special intercepts on sp1 or sp2 attacks grant you 3 buffs instead of just 1 which sees massive damage when you time it right. Infuriate helps act like taunt when the defender is being annoying and not throwing specials. In AQ I basically do all my fights with him and he definitely saves me items, I can do both minis and the final boss without using any. For context this is map 8 and top 10 prestige.

Mine is r5 and ascended and definitely no regrets there.

He's stun immune, do you know how valuable that is? He's the only champ in the game that is straight up stun immune. Encroaching stun? No problem, parry? No problem, future ant man stun? No problem.

He can do this in war as well. I'm on lane-7 purifying defenders from 2 seasons, so I'm using Kitty to deal with purify but Hercule sp-1 sp2 is enough to kill anything in war except 1-2 nodes and defenders.

Coming to Angela, CGR, Hulkling.
Angela isn't someone who'd help you progress that rapidly, plus her damage can be ehh.
CGR is very very easy to mess up, one annoying node means you'd have to change your playstyle.
Hulkling on attack is more or less sp-2 trickster, relies a lot on crits of sp2

Hercules is what a well balanced (game breaking) champion is, he is the reason why Kabam have nerfed farming, introduced specific nodes for him, even in Necro, there is special node to counter just him, he is nightmare of Kabam and he is my first r5 Ascended god.

He has precision, cruelty, 120% bonus damage, LONG THICK STUN, immortality, indestructible, power gain, true sense which shuts off miss and autoblock, one of best recoil friendly, what more you want bruh.
He can eat sp-3 and take 0, that's right, take 0 damage from sp-3. Bahhh god.

His worth lies in the fact that Kabam had to make nodes to stop people from using him in Necropolis

Stun immunity, Regens from Suicides, Block penetration, reliable DMG, death immunity
That's what makes him hyped up

I thought immortality buff doesn't activate when he's hit by sp3 that would knock him out

Or if it's already active, the buff goes away and he dies

Edit : NVM you probably meant that indestructible buff

Kinda do agree with you here. All the options you mentioned, definitely do things better than Herc. But that's the whole point of Herc being a hype champ. He isn't meant for so and so things separately. He can smash through almost all types of content in the game, if you played him right. His immortality has alone saved me (and I'm pretty sure countless others too) from dying. He has crazy damage too. His SP2 can basically finish off champs at his level. Doesn't take too long to ramp up too. And yea, like you said, he's great with suicides.

U need to intercept with him, both with special attacks and basic hits. Even if you're at 12 feats of strength, you need to continue intercepting. It gives you extra atrack and extra power gain. You'll gain power as fast as your opponent.
A l2 with 3 precisions and cruelties at 12 feats will do nutty damage. (And yes, suicides make him much stronger)

Like literally any other champs in the game, he can't shine everywhere. He basically give his best in making easy some fights that could be really hard, and save you a lot of revives. I think he's the reason immortality is banned in necropolis lol.

My ascended R5 also auto fights 5.4.6 (including boss), with synergy team, for revive farming. So while I'm using aegon in necropolis, it's herc making it possible for me at least.

The fact that you have to compare him to so many different champs who all excel indifferent things is why he is so OP.
