December event quest rewards

Quick question, I became Thronebreaker on Christmas Day but every time I do the red guardian event quest I still only get cavalier level rewards. Is this normal and will reset next month or is it a bug?

You have to do a difficulty level up, so threat level 4 if you want to get tb rewards
