Not even mad with the meta. What has taken me back is the fact that every account nowadays seems to be the fake Legend from the Incursions Herc exploit reward, and it's hard to see accounts with a champ below 20k PI in a roster. Heck, with this meta I even see accounts not fielding a single one of their top champs but even when they have to dig deep in their roster they still have no champ below R4 6*.

We know that Kabam is aware that the 4th of July event was a major PTW clown fiesta, so every event from then on has been filled with joke rewards for FTP even if they spend half a year saving units. This banquet is on record to be the worst in a long time, so it's no wonder there are so many players burning out.

I have not seen so much bubbling dissent under the surface since the mess of Update 12, and I wonder if Kabam is going to continue pretending this is not a problem and just keep feeding the whales for those juicy end of quarter figures...

every ... and i do mean EVERY single account i faced on my way to Gladiator was either Valiant with 20K and above PI ... or just S T A C K E D roster wise .. my own account is no slouch and every opponent made my account look like a beginner's account lol.

I check the profile of wolf140 and tod919 since you didn’t forfeit those matches. Those are 2m accounts with prestige at 16k, far from the 20k prestige. One of them don’t even have r5 in the profile.

This is a skill issue.

Funny thing is that it isn't a skill issue. So far as I can tell they're barely scraping paragon with 14.5k prestige, 0 R5s and an R3 ascended herc as their top champ.

Their view on what f2p can accomplish is just wildly skewed.

Who said 20k prestige? 20k PI of champs. Total PI is no longer a good measure of a roster. Too many accounts that have so much in terms of champs and rank materials that they never had to even consider ranking a 2, 3, or even 4 star like us 8 year F2p plebs.

I’m ftp with 1.7m and 18k prestige and yeah I basically quit bgs since everyone is loaded from cyber and necropolis. It stopped being fun so I stopped playing, sadly that’s just the system. It’ll even out over time but after big event drops this usually happens. July 4th was the same way and definitely worse.

Morbius platinum tracks have been my only purchase in the last year, and I'm a 20k prestige valiant who wasn't even paragon this time last year. If banquet rewards aren't good enough for you, get good and go do Necropolis.

Where's your "Herc exploit legend title"? Maybe if you actually did incursions and other content instead of having this defeatist mentality that it's only for P2W, you wouldn't be so far behind.

I agree july deals are insane, but cyber weekend is trash.
This season is better, we aren't getting nuked by entire deck with 6 r5 and 7 r2/7 r3.

Glad to see some have addresses the actual subject of the topic which is not Battlegrounds. Battlegrounds are simply a more immediate tool to assess the gap.

Try to play it down as much as you want, but the fact is that the distance between paying and non paying players is at its highest for a long time, maybe even since the game started. There are very few non paying players that are even close to paying player rosters, if any.

There have been many times when I faced a roster that is much stronger than mine and I thought I had no chance, but then ended up winning. To your point about those who pay or don't, just because you buy a stacked roster, doesn't mean you have the skill or knowledge to make the most out of it, which gives a fighting chance to those who don't pay

You aren't complaining about anything new. You're in competition with everyone in BGs. Some will be better than you. You will hit a ceiling at some point and maybe you already did.

Yes, there's a "gap" between F2P and spenders but that's obvious. There isn't anything wrong with that either. They paid for their advantage.

This meta for BGs mostly negates roster size. Power Shield is a great node for lessee rosters because they get that huge burst in damage. But if you're going to forfeit fights before trying them, you will find little to no sympathy here on the forums.

Get good defenders and good attackers on your team. A duped Squirrel Girl is capable of soloing basically anything that bleeds in one sp2 without even allowing the opponent to throw a special. If you happen to have werewolf, a r3 is going to be about as fast as an ascended r5 because you kill in 1 sp2 anyways. There's lots of options available that are killer and there are times where you can trap people into fighting a defender they can't beat. This BG meta of all of them is one of the least P2W metas out there just because of how ineffective rank advantages are for champions atm.

This BG meta of all of them is one of the least P2W metas out there just because of how ineffective rank advantages are for champions atm.

Depends how far behind you are; if you've reached the point where 1 SP2 isn't killing on a champ that's not got supplemental power gain and you're going against an opponent who can kill in 1 SP2, or you literally don't have the roster depth to deal with the nodes, then the roster difference is more apparent than ever.
