Just asking, never been taxed before but I went to buy the 7* daily card offer and saw that I’m now being charged sales tax? First time happening and was curious if this is a permanent change. In terms of location I’m Southeast US. If it is permanent well rip me

That wouldn't be anything on Kabam's side - in all the places I've lived, I've always been taxed on IAP's.

January 1st happens to be when most tax changes across the US come into effect.

Just saying SE US doesn’t help, taxes are state specific. If you mention the state, others might be able to offer specific insight.

And much less likely could be if you had also just switched from Google to Apple (or visa versa). Or if now making the purchase from Xsolla Web Store for MCOC instead of Google/Apple.

But probably a state tax law change, as nearly all states by now have implemented tax on “Digital Goods” which would include the game.
