Sandman Root also Locking SP3

I’m still very salty because of the root nerfs to Kraven and Zemo, so how about we stay consistent this time @Kabam Miike ? Tell the team to fix Sandman’s root since he’s special locking 3 bars with his.
Since you didn’t create a proper description for root, you have to atleast make it consistent for all the root champions. Wouldn’t you agree, @SlayerOfGods ?

    Exactly i mean if there's someone who makes decisions and tells Kabam what to do it's the content creators that Kabam allows into their exclusive program. Isn't that right @Karatemike415 ?

    Setting aside the OP’s overly aggressive nature, he’s got a point.

    The whole Kraven/Zemo “root fix” situation was supposed to be a fix to the root mechanic that allowed the defender to throw and SP3 while rooted. That was not the case before the fix and allowed for the “Zemo lock”. The devs “fixed” root to address this and went as far as issuing rank down tickets because of the negative impact of Kraven.

    Pre root fix, it was a full special lock.

    Post root fix, it’s just an SP1/2 lock. Defenders can still throw an SP3 while rooted. Or so we were told.

    So why is Sandman’s root still inflicting a full Sp1/2/3 lock right now when it should just be a Sp1/2 lock per how root was supposed to be fixed to work?

    After more playing with it, I wonder if they fixed the root debuff but not the root passive? Can someone test with Spidey Supreme and see if his passive root is a full SP1/2/3 lock?

    I wonder if it’s because Sandman’s root will expire based on a set number of hits so he lacks the ability to indefinitely special lock like Zemo and Kraven had

    Trust me, I’m trying. All the frustration that I don’t put out in real life makes its way on the internet. It’s better that way. Also, do listen to my findings sometimes, regardless of the behavior, and I’ll try to improve my behavior 🫶

    I think you can still get pinned down by Zemo’s glue if you’re getting hit by his sp2 grenade while flying, so it’s kinda weird, I feel like root isn’t that strong of a mechanic to require an immunity maybe idk

    It doesn’t look like it’s an issue with passive vs debuff. Spidey Supreme’s passive root is only an Sp1/2 lock. Something is just different with Sandman’s root that is applying the Sp1/2/3 lock vs just the Sp1/2 lock.
