@Bron1 i completed it 8 hours back, i made a big mistake of bringing in doom for airwalker instead of shuri. Shuri will do more fights for u capt brit and dragonman fight specifically, mx out pacify mastery for dragonman and parry him till he loses his power gain buff, try to adjust the power gain timer to complete witin the parry expiry timer and he will not gain his power buff back. Shuri can also take wiccan fight and many others if needed.
Aegon can take airwalker, in case u are not able to knock him down before the galactus buff just quit and revive, only if he completes his sp3 he will regen so quit before that. Shuri will have lot of revives. Wiccan for last 1%, i had power thru the reverse control phase 3 with aegon. Mine is r4 ascended. So i wld recommend to ascend aegon for extra damage since ur aegon is not r5. Also just check out his heavy attack fury trick, will help a lot.
Guardian, valkyrie, red guardian, falcon are easy fights. For valkyrie when fight starts dont hit her, dex and only hit her on her block, build her to around 20 pierce and then start hitting her normally. At 999 combo aegon is not unblockable, at 1000 hit he becomes unblockable. In case valks pierce runs out let her hit un on block once to get a pierce on her and then normal hits. Without pierce passives her power meter will not go down even if she throws spl attacks.
Hi , My aegon is 6* r4 , i have shuri 7* r1 awaken, im thinking off going aegon shuri proxima heimdal and profx/wiccan
3 questions
1_ how crucial is it to take again r5 and ascension or can i just do it with r4, keep in mind i dont play aegon and only took him r4 for necro.
2- profx or wiccan which is the better choice?
3- lastly, does something happen if you do necro before 15.1? Ive seen that date being thrown around in couple of posts.
I don't think, he needs to be ascended but R5ing him is bare minimum for additional damage and to save revives/units. Increases the charges which gives increased fight duration. Both Prof X and Wiccan are mostly going to be used for GM (Phase 3 and 4), they are solid. If you manage to complete one path of Necropolis before Jan 15th 2024, you become eligible to the Road to Crypt rewards (Community based event).
Would everyone here recommend just Aegon'ing through Sauron path?
I've brought Chavez my other 2 paths this side and only used her for Air Walker and Nova. Thinking of just using Aegon for AW/Nova this time since I just wanna get it over with and don't care what I spend, and then I can use that Chavez spot for Nick Fury
EDIT: other spots would be r3 awakened Shuri, Heimdall, and Wiccan
Bring Nimrod if you have for that path. I used one revive with him at Sauron, ramp up Aegon at HM. Also, Nimrod is very good for StormPX and Dragon Man 😉
I indeed have a r5 Nimrod. I assume still bring Shuri along for the typical fights near the bottom?

What advantage does Shuri have for Cap Brit and reverse controls? Can she not debuff due to class disadvantage?

If u have kate and a counter to Storm X (read: Hulkbuster or G2099), id recommend that since that'll cost way less resources
I did my completion path with ascended Kate. My only reason for doing Aegon now is really just brute forcing the GM at the end. I just ignore the prompts (still having issue with BP relic) and beat the guy to death until the 1% phase where I switch to Wiccan lol. It's nice doing that fight in 7-8 mins.

What advantage does Shuri have for Cap Brit and reverse controls? Can she not debuff due to class disadvantage?
@ReignkingTW Against capt britain if u crit then she places exhaustion debuff on u its in her kit and ramped up aegon crits like hell and when he crits he purifies debuffs and in the necro node for capt brit if u purify a debuff u r reverse controlled. So for the entire fight u will be reverse controlled with aegon. Shuri cannot crit on her bsic attacks unless u use sp1 for guranteed crits. So avoid sp1 with shuri for this and dragonman fights.
Similarly for dargonman fight if u crit 3 times dragonman goes stun immune and then u cannot shut his powerbuff off with pacify mastery.
Other than these fights also shuri can do a lot. Her ramped up 50 shock debuff and 50 shock passives deal a lot of damage.
Assuming you are taking the "easy" path -- you don't need Shuri. Focus everything on Aegon.
Toughest fights for me were Airwalker (9) and Cap Brit (14 revives). Perhaps bring counters for those or use Wiccan for CB. I should have used Juggs but I was too stubborn.
I used a 7r2 Wiccan for CB, did about 20% damage per revive, wasn't too bad at all
If you’re going with aegon with recoil masteries I’d drop shuri. Once you got aegon ramped I didn’t find it worth switching masteries to non recoil to fight 1 fight when I could’ve just bought 2 more revives with aegon. The unit cost to change masteries within a quest are just too expensive. Not worth jumping back and forth. The Titania path is completely doable with just aegon. My team 125 revives was aegon, Proxima, heimdal, Odin, and juggs. I dropped odin on my second run and didn’t notice a difference. White mags prefight might be interesting with aegon but I haven’t tried it.
I've done two paths with Aegon at R4 and ascended. Second path was the 4-5 gem which I used on Aegon.
My second path team:
Aegon Proxima (great failsafe when you aren't great, plus a fury boost) NF, killed off in first fight for the attack bonus, not sure it's a great idea based on kerblammo math* this is also a variable slot based on whether a special counter is needed. Juggs, for final GM phase. Heimdall, seriously saves units for the low skilled and perfect for Aegon's playstyle when you want to smash through a fight.
*I think @DNA3000 crunched the numbers on this somewhere.
Nick is a benefit, just not as much of one as it might seem, and the more the player manages to take advantage of the extra furies (the ones you get when you're struck) the more that dilutes Nick's overall benefit. That makes him more expendable if you have a good option to replace him with that would be good as a specialist for a few fights on the path, even if Aegon is doing most of the heavy lifting.
Would everyone here recommend just Aegon'ing through Sauron path?

So, I'd recommend going with Path 1 for completion.
U don't need shuri.
I brought Aegon, proxima, heimdal, prof x, Thor.
Thor helps u heal in the fight. Helps u take more unstoppable hits and do mad damage with Aegon. Or just helps u stay alive longer in general.
Keep proxima, unless ur one of the best players in the game, she's gonna help u cash in on the persistent combo.
Road to the crypt (extra rewards Kabam is giving out for total community deaths in Necro) ends January 15. Requirement is to complete at least 1 path in Necro before the due date.
If u accidentally quite the quest. Don't touch anything. Don't restart the quest. Do nothing. Go and send a support ticket. They will help you. Only downside is Aegons persistent combo will be reset.
Notable fights (first half)
Titania (best fight to ramp Aegon on)
Air Walker (knock him down frequently. If he gains his buff just quit. Heals too much)
Cap Britain (inveree controls whole fight. Best to get her to sp2. Make sure u know when u have inverse controls and not.
Wiccan (don't parry. Get him to sp2 cuz he heals a lot from sp1)

Wow that was great input, ty so much for your response
@Greekhit I’m about to do the Sauron path myself so like your Nimrod advice - particularly if he also works on SPX and DM. Did you try him on Captain Britain also? If so how did that go?

You are still subject to reverse controls. I’ve tried him, since I was going use the team revives from the EQ offer, and he was descent, took around 25% off her before getting wrecked, but he was kinda slow. Revived the team and used Aegon to take the rest. If you keep your eye on the debuffs on you and when you have reverse controls, and of course if you are familiar with playing with your controls reversed, this fight is easy and fast with Aegon. Once you understand the fight and get into the rhythm it’s not hard.
Thanks @Greekhit - yeah, I’ve done the CB fight with Aegon already - was just trying to figure out if Nimrod was a cheese since I’d be bringing him along. Sounds like not really. Appreciate the advice though - Sauron will be significantly less painful with Nimrod. Seems like ramping Aegon is going to be painful no matter what but at least slightly better on HM than Sauron given Sauron would have been going unblockable all the time with no way to remove his prowess.
Any Aegon Hit Monkey ramp up tips would be appreciated.

I just tested Nimrod on Sauron. He's r5 sig 200. Since it was a test, I wasn't using any boosts at all, but I got him to 75% before I died. I'll test out with r3 Shuri next and if that goes better, will continue from there since freeing up Nimrod leaves another Aegon synergy champ.

Imo Heimdall doesn't help a lot, rather bring counter for airwalker and aarkus (doom works great, abs, maybe someone else)
