Big war bugg!

Hey, wanted to send this out as fast as possible but war is bugged and unfair matchmaking. Any tips on what to do now?

Sooo, I might know why the placements are wrong. Because we are mismatched against a Plat 2 alliance we are now running in Expert map. A map that isn't set up by us because we are nowhere near that war rating. Still the mismatch is making us lose war for sure and war rating with it.

That's unfortunate but it happens. Always have all maps setup. You'll know next time.

We have a 300war rating difference (what is 2war tiers) and the new system with platinum 5 and platinum 6 was made so that higher tiers/ranks can compete with people of their skill-level. Second, the problem isn't that the map isn't setup. The problem is the mismatch that forces the map to switch. We are no where near the expert map level and we shouldn't be playing in it. Even if the map didn't switch we will have a much higher chance to lose a war and lose war rating and points. Third, I hope this won't have a next time because this is unfair. Unfair for our alliance and also unfair for the other platinum 2 or maybe even platinum 1 alliances that do have to fight each other and this alliance gets a (free) win.

If you win you get 83 points if you lose, it's only 15. It happens. A team can not get matched at all for a war. If an odd number enlist it has to happen. Just because it hasnt happened to you it still happens to someone 50% of the wars.

Since you seem to know everything already then you know that many alliances and specifically masters alliances are not using items this season. So you have a plethora of alliances who are 3,4,5 tiers lower than they normally are.

So I will reiterate, always have all maps ready to go. Matchmaking with a huge variance in rating happens every season but will happen much more the rest of this season and next. Remember, failing to plan is planning to fail.

They aren't wrong. This happens a lot within the tiers. When you're matched with someone who's a tier higher than you and matchmaking picks a tier you're not in. You should have champs placed for all available maps just in case.

This is not a tier above us... We are tier 4 and this map is Tier1-2. I can understand it if we are close to their tier or their map and we get matched. This is 300 war rating difference. This is Plat 1-2. We are low Plat 5. This should not happen, specially with the new system. Thats why I'm saying this is bugged. The matchmaking is wrong.

This is not a tier above us... We are tier 4 and this map is Tier1-2. I can understand it if we are close to their tier or their map and we get matched. This is 300 war rating difference. This is Plat 1-2. We are low Plat 5. This should not happen, specially with the new system. Thats why I'm saying this is bugged. The matchmaking is wrong.

I will be the first to admit that war is confusing for new players. Mathematically weird things happen. Scoring and matchups are based on different rankings that are related however. That's how that alliance cheated for years and would finish in masters even though they played only alliances who were below 3000 rating and statistically performed like a mid p2 (while playing p2 and p3 so they were were even more trash than you would think)

However in a normal season expert maps will have all of t1, t2, and t3 that get matched up. It is feasible this season a t4 alliance can get matched to and play on an expert map.

So yet again... have all maps setup and ready to go.
