Onslaughts non immunity to reverse controls

Shouldn't Onslaught have immunity to reversed controls thanks to Xaviers strong mind and Magneto's Helmet? I just feel like that should be brought up Onslaught should have immunity to reversed controls.

He most definitely should be. In the X-Men cartoon and comics, Magneto's helmet keeps psychics mind control out, and Prof X is reverse control immune. Onslaught is a combination of both of them, so it should have been a no brainer. But for some illogical, reason Kabam chose to exclude that ability. We've mentioned this to them before.
Thank you for not being rude and at least telling me why SHOULD onslaught be immune to reversed controls I felt like Knull being able to corrupt Onslaught doesn't really make sense.

Nothing has to make sense, it is a video game.

There is no comic book reason that Wiccan is immune to reversed controls, or for Rintrah to be able to have armor breaks but have it do nothing.

Reversed control immunities would be comic book accurate, but game versions don't have to be comic book accurate. Any non-superman level character should theoretically be killed after Hyperion's SP3.

I would fully support Onslaught having reversed control immunity, but am totally fine with Kabam keeping it a rare ability to allow other champions to shine (here's looking at you Mister Sinister).

Simple, they don’t want him to be too overpowered. Balancing aspect.

He most definitely should be. In the X-Men cartoon and comics, Magneto's helmet keeps psychics mind control out, and Prof X is a psychic who is reverse control immune. Onslaught is a combination of both of them, so it should have been a no brainer. But for some illogical, reason Kabam chose to exclude that ability. We've mentioned this to them before. This is the 3rd "Magneto" in the game who isn't reverse control immune.

    Makes 0 sense.
So, let's actually break this down a bit because it's not accurate. I'm being pedantic here, but we can't say Magneto has in the comics and cartoons always been immune/resistant. Originally (and I mean WAY back when) Magneto actually had his own "latent" and "active" telepathic abilities which explained his defenses and even some psychic powers (like Astral projection... what?). I'm talking the first couple issues. This was done away with/forgotten. After that point Magneto was never immune to telepathy and even his basic defenses were only slightly above average. The concept of his helmet protecting him originated in the X-Men movie (2000) and then the movie, that's when the comics started exploring and including this and even used some things like how the helmet is designed, circuitry and his own powers, etc... the Ultimate Universe first and then eventually main 616 continuity (I believe 2014 was the first we really saw this referenced).

At the time of Onslaught in the comics though, Magneto was not immune. Maybe had some mental defenses but nothing extreme. In fact, during the "Fatal Attractions" stroyline which built towards Onslaught, both Xavier and Jean invaded Magneto's mind during the fight while he had his helmet on as well as when it was off.

The #PsychicShielding is something Onslaught has, and that's from Magneto's helmet. This should protect against: Delirium and Emma Frost's reverse controls. It would also prevent Stryfe's cloak and I think maybe a few other things.

Should Onslaught be both Reverse Control immune and have #PsychicShielding? I think so. He's a psionic amalgamation of Xavier (Reverse Control immune) and Magneto (#PsychicShielding) with the powers (and then some) of both. But Kabam just didn't want him that powerful and to immediately come in and make the GM and other fights in Necropolis even more irrelevant.

Would I have liked it? Yes. Would it have made Onslaught even more powerful than he is? Yes. I already expect (hope I'm wrong) Onslaught to be tuned down slightly when his rebalancing comes around. If he were also Reverse Control immune it would be an almost certainty.

Why are people acting like reversed controls immunity would make him broken? It’s so niche?
