Update screen loop

I downloaded the update becauwe my google app store told me to went to finish a path o last months quest. got half way thru about to get into a fight the update screen pops up and doesnt move so i close the app re open it .it was on loading screen and my previous fight poped up telling me to get bwck to that fight i click the ok button gst sent straight to the update screen. so i did the same thing again closed the app reopend the game and the same thing again this kept happing to me for about 50 mins untill i uninstalled te game and reinstalled then i was finally able to get to the main screen to end the quest. only to go do some arena after getting 100k in points the update screen poped up again. I closed app and reopend now every time i try to do arena or complete a path in last months quest this pops up
Now kabam or anyone please explain why this is happening to me i did the update onky to get stuck in a loop for 50 mins so i uninstall and reinstall the game why am i having this problem
