How do you get 5 star and 6 star shards?

Ive been playing for awhile now but my 4*-6* champs are slim. Is there a good way to get shards and is there even a way to get 6* shards?

5* shards come from 4* dupes and 6* shards come from duping 5*s.

@mysticdump you get 5* shards from alliance war, summoner advancement and the featured and basic arena if you can get enough points. Also from duping a 4*. It looks like your alliance isn't active enough to do AW or SA though. You need to find a group that has 30 members who play every day.

Then sell the slimmer ones and keep those that are larger in size like hulk, joe fixit, luke Cage or kingpin.

On a serious note, arena grinding is the best source of 4/5* shards.
