There are people voting certain characters just for the sake of saying that their preferred character won instead of doing it to get to play them in the game. These people have no interest to play the game itself, even if the character they voted for gets in the game.

    Comments like this is why I'm waiting for opinions about this. I can't decide what opinion to form from it that favors one over the other. Anyway, that's true. I also thought that even if the voters themselves don't stick around, they might try to recommend it to people who wants to play a game that has a certain character and therefore still contribute to bringing in more players.
